Hathor was the Egyptian goddess of love and joy. She was known as the wife of Horus. Hathor was a very ancient goddess that had many symbols such as a cow, a cobra, a falcon and more. There are many Egyptian mythology stories about her.
As Egyptian myth has it, Hathor used to be known as Sekhmet, created by her father, Re. As Sekhmet, she was a destroyer of men who did not obey. Even though Re later changed his mind about that, she was still going to do her job. So one day he tricked her and she became Hathor.
In different areas, she is different goddesses. She was three different goddesses, the goddess of love, goddess of the dead, and the goddess of beauty. Also, every time a child was born, seven Hathors appeared to say its future. She was considered to know everyone's day of death. Her symbols are different too. Her symbols were a cow, a cobra, a falcon, a papyrus reed, and a rattle snake.
These are all reasons why we should build a temple to honor Hathor. The temple should have golden statuettes of her, and paintings of her all over. We should have a room full of ancient paintings of Hathor. I suggest we build it in the middle of the kingdom that way it might attract more people. Gold will be offered to her monument. The worship room is going to be in the middle of the temple and surrounded by smaller rooms connected by a hallway. The smaller rooms are where we will put our offerings to her.
